How do I run AI detection on an essay I have submitted for grading?

AI detection is available to Pro and Premium subscribers. You will have the opportunity to upgrade from within the AI detection tab in the feedback report, should you wish to do so in order to access this feature.

It's important to note that the detector may indicate low confidence in authorship, which could impact your grading. It is not a guarantee but rather a flag for you to take a closer look at the student's work.

When you upload an essay, AI detection is automatically run for Premium plan subscribers. Pro plan subscribers will need to initiate AI detection for each individual essay.

Within the Essay List for any assignment, you can see your dashboard of all the previous uploaded essays you've submitted. You can click on the individual essay to open the feedback report.

You'll have your tabs—the feedback report, the writing report, the AI detection, and comments. If you click on AI detection, it's already run (Premium only) or you'll have the opportunity to initiate it (Pro only).

Our detector provides a confidence level that the text is written by the student.
