Where can I find my essays that were graded in version 3.0?

If you are panicking because it seems like all your previously uploaded and graded student submissions from EssayGrader version 3.0 are missing in the new interface, don't worry! They aren't gone at all.

  • If you use a learning management system (LMS) like Google Classroom or canvas, please proceed to the section below.
  • If you have previously uploaded essays from your computer (or imported them from cloud storage), the subsequent section contains the steps to find them.

Google Classroom and Canvas – Syncing previously imported content

Essays that you previously imported for grading from Google Classroom or Canvas are preserved in the new system, but you may need to relink your Google Classroom or Canvas account for these to appear in the LMS workspace folder structure in the sidebar. Follow the steps below to unlink and re-link your LMS accounts.

  1. On your Account menu in the top right, select the Integrations menu option (or go directly via https://app.essaygrader.ai/account?tab=integrations)

  1. Select the Unlink button underneath your LMS account to temporarily remove the integration

Ensure that you note the email address associated with the integration, as you may need this when re-linking in the following steps.

  1. Select Home from the sidebar

  1. Under the Import Student Submissions section on the Home page, select the tile corresponding with your LMS (either Google Classroom or Canvas)

  1. Follow the on-screen instructions to link your now unlinked LMS accounts. This is exactly the same process as you would have used to link your account(s) under version 3.0 and will be familiar to you.

  • Google Classroom – After selecting Login with Google you will be presented with the standard Google login screens. Ensure that you select the account that uses the email address that you noted when you unlinked your Google Classroom account in Step 2.

  • Canvas – You will need to log in separately to your Canvas account in order to obtain the credentials necessary to re-link the integration. The video linked in the second screen will walk you through that process. Once you are logged in to Canvas in a seperate window or tab, select Continue on the first EssayGrader screen (shown below).

The linked demo video on this screen will provide instructions for filling in the two input fields

  1. Once linked, navigate to the Google Classroom or Canvas section in the sidebar and select the class folder and then

an assignment within that folder to display the Essay Dashboard in the main window.

That's it! Your essays are safe and sound and ready for review, export, or regrading.

Manually uploaded essays (non-LMS content) – Locating migrated content

  1. Select the Older Submissions folder to expand it

  1. The subfolders inside Older Submissions are your classes
