Connect your LMS - Canvas

The video below will demonstrate how to connect EssayGrader to your Canvas account. Written instructions can be found below the video.

1. Select the Import from Canvas tile on the Home page to bring up the Connect to Canvas screen.

Click Continue on the Connect to Canvas screen to bring up the multi-step screen.

2. Go to your Canvas dashboard and copy the URL from the address bar at the top of your broswer (your URL may be different from the example).

3. Go back to EssayGrader and paste that URL into the Canvas URL text box.

5. The next step is to generate an access token in Canvas, so go back to Canvas and on your Account page click on Settings.

6. Scroll down on the Settings page and you'll see a button labeled New Access Token. Click on it to start the token generation process.

7. Where it asks for a purpose, type in EssayGrader and click Generate Token.

8. Once the token is generated, copy the entire string of characters (do this right away as once you move away from that screen within Canvas you will not see it again).

9. Go back to EssayGrader and paste the copied token in the Access Token text box.

10. Click Continue to complete the link and begin importing from Canvas.
