# How do I delete my account and associated data?

If you wish to delete your entire account, rather than just [pause](https://help.essaygrader.ai/en-us/article/how-do-i-pause-my-subscription-1yj3t8i/) or [cancel](https://help.essaygrader.ai/en-us/article/how-do-i-cancel-my-subscription-1prv41w/) your subscription plan, you may do so by following the steps below.

||| **Currently, deleting an account __does not cancel the subscription__. Please cancel your subscription prior to deleting your account.**

1. Select your account from the menu in the top right corner of each EssayGrader screen.

2. Look to the bottom of the ***Account Details*** tab to the ***Danger Zone*** and select **Delete Account**.

3. Confirm your decision to entirely delete your account and all associated data by typing the word DELETE into the input field.
