Folder structures
Folder structures
With the new Sidebar comes a new way to navigate through your classes and assignments. Version 4.0 is built around folder structures that you either build yourself or import by linking your LMS (currently Google Classroom and Canvas with Schoology coming soon).
Folders are organized into a manually created section, a Google Classroom section, and a Canvas section (with Schoology integration coming soon). The LMS sections will only appear if you have linked these by importing essays from an existing LMS like Classroom or Canvas.
- Manually created folders and subfolders are exclusively for use with essays that you upload from your computer/device or import from cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive).
- LMS folders (Google Classroom, Canvas, and Schoology) are synced to those platforms and you control the structure there. They each have their own section here. You can link to more than one account of the same platform, but only one at a time.
For manually created folder structures, there is a new wizard that let's you structure things just how you like it!
And once you've set it up, you can add more folders and subfolders, delete ones you don't need, and even rename them.
Your assignments stay organized and you can access them quickly by navigating through your folder structures, whether they have been synced with your LMS or you've created them yourself and uploaded your student work.
